Lauren Ash-Morgan, an actor who has been a part of the SSC's board since 2011, is the co-founding artistic director of the recently formed theatre firm Speech of Fire. She was the Artistic Director of Seoul Shakespeare Company from 2014 to the year 2019. As the artistic director of SSC she served as SSC's composer, musician and text coach, as well as set/costume/music design. While she was usually the leader of the group of actors, in her final year she was able to make her debut as a director (and the lighting design) in the SSC's King Lear.
