Her parents are Russian economics Tatyana Semenovich, and Gregory T. the Director of the Fur Company. After spending 6 months in a hospital when a young child, she was diagnosed with arthritis rheumatoid. The skater's career together with Denis Samokhin was what made his name famous. They competed at the Junior World Championships in two distinct years. They placed eighth in 1993 and seventh in 1994. Following a brief partnership with Maxim Kachanov, they placed fifth at the Goodwill Games of 1994. Then in 1995 she teamed alongside Vladimir Fedorov. Their partnership proved equally successful since they both won the Finlandia Trophy twice and also participated in the Grand Prix of Figure Skating. The team was able to achieve great results but it was their 15th-place in the World Championships in 1998 that represented the peak of the relationship.
